We are looking for an HR generalist who, under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, will be responsible for recruitment, benefits, performance management, compliance management, labor relations, as well as health and safety at work.

- Act as a resource person for employees and managers regarding benefits, payroll, training, performance evaluations, development, etc.
- Serve as a resource for interpreting laws, policies, guidelines, procedures, and HR management tools, ensuring their proper application.
- Ensure the fair and consistent implementation of various initiatives and policies.
- Participate in the full recruitment process for various positions (operational and administrative) and support managers in their hiring efforts.
- Oversee the management of disability claims and workplace accident cases.
- Support managers and supervisors in their daily operations and provide guidance on procedures, laws, policies, HR programs, as well as disability and workplace accident cases.
- Serve as an employer representative on the health and safety committee.
- Lead and complete various process and procedure improvement projects within the department.
- Contribute to updating policies and other HR-related documentation.
- Participate in corporate mandates and projects assigned by the HR Director.
- Act as a change agent.
- Create and generate various reports for the HR department.
- Ensure employee records are kept up to date.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in occupational health and safety management (an asset)
- Member of the Order of CHRP/CHRL (an asset)
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations governing human resources administration (Labor Standards Act, CNESST Act, Bill 90, pay equity, etc.)
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with employees and managers
- Comfort in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and setting priorities
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to challenge the status quo and adopt a solution-oriented mindset
- Creativity and proactiveness in problem-solving
- Good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information

- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bilingual in both spoken and written communication (an asset)
