Job description
Under the responsibility of the financial controller, the accounting and pay technician is responsible for processing accounts payable, staff payroll and maintaining employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies, laws and regulations governing the administration of human resources. The person has a key role in daily operations, providing support when required.

Experience and Competencies
- Management of supplier accounts;
- Carry out the complete payroll cycle, including timely payments;
- Make entries and modifications of information contained in employee files in the system;
- Process requests for changes in employee files (hiring, departure, transfer, social benefits, leave, illness, salary, etc.);
- Manage and classify related physical and electronic documents;
- Follow up and record training data information;
- Production of source deduction reports according to prescribed deadlines;
- Filing declarations with the CNESST;
- Production of reports in connection with the law on training (1%);
- Production of employment records;
- Production of T4 and RL-1 slips, under the supervision of the financial controller;
- Production of end-of-year reports to government authorities;
- Production of various reports and accounting analyzes related to payroll;
- Production of MobilPunch and payroll system reports;
- Production of job postings;
- Welcoming and integration of new employees;
- Provide administrative support to the accounting and human resources department;
- Remain available to support colleagues in the company regarding all requests related to payroll and time and attendance management;
- Any other related tasks required.
Aptitudes
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in occupational health and safety management (asset);
- Member of the Ordre des CRHA/CRIA (asset);
- Good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing human resources administration (Labour Standards Act, CNESST Act, Bill 90, pay equity, etc.);
- Ability to build trusting relationships with employees and managers;
- Comfortable managing multiple files simultaneously and prioritizing;
- Strong teamwork skills;
- Ability to question the status quo and be solution-oriented;
- Demonstrate creativity and proactive problem-solving skills;
- Good judgment and discretion regarding the information being processed;

- Excellent command of the Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Bilingual both orally and in writing (an asset).
